Pot, PCB Mounted Type 10K

Pot is short for potentiometer. You will also see these
called variable resistors. The "CW" marking on the
schematic symbol indicates the end of the resistance track which
is closest to the end which the wiper moves to when the control
is turned in the clockwise direction. This is a linear
type which you may see referred to as B10K. An A10K type
would have a logarithmic track which has more change in
resistance towards the clockwise end to compensate for the
characteristics of human hearing versus voltage signal
level. A B10K is good enough for this circuit.
