Colour code Red, Red, Brown = 2,2
and one zero = 220 Ohms, also commonly written as 220R.
In old schematic diagrams you may see Ohmic values like this
written as just 220. This was a rather confusing and lazy
practice that generally disappeared in the 1970's, along with the
Ford Anglia and 8-track cassettes. There are two in the
circuit. R16 is used in conjunction with C12 100uF capacitor
to isolate the sensitive radio frequency sections from the supply
rail perturbations caused by the high currents driving the
speaker. The other, R13, is used to help set the quiescent
bias current in the complementary class B push-pull output stage
along with D1 and D2.
